Our Accommodated Camp or Conference Programs and Activities

Through strategic alliances with local providers we are able to offer a wide range of Educational, Leadership, Challenge and Recreational activities.

  • Educational and Activity Providers
    • This list of educational providers covers history, astronomy, coastal and marine, geography, flight and science. These providers all have extensive experience with school groups and align their programs with curriculum needs.
  • Leadership and Challenge Activity Providers
    • The providers listed here cover a broad range of leadership and challenge activities (though most merge both into exciting programs). They were chosen on the basis of their experience in school and group activities and the professionalism of their programs.
  • Local Attractions
    • Whilst many of these might appear to be simply regional attractions, most embed awareness and educational outcomes and experiences into their activities.
    • Adventure activities are available on-site for groups who are looking to develop leaders, build teams or learn new skills in partnership with trusted and accredited providers. Some of the activities on offer include low, medium or high ropes, climbing wall, canoeing, raft building, archery and orienteering.

      The Alexandra Headland Surf Club is only 200 metres from Alex Park and offers inexpensive surf and beach awareness programs for school and family groups.

On-site outdoor activities

Many groups build their program and activities around the outdoor facilities available on-site which help to promote self-confidence, develop life skills and encourage initiative.

  • Playing field suitable for ball games and several smaller grassed areas for team activities.

    Our onsite bush trail also has purpose built log and low rope challenge activities that groups can use as part of their unique Alex Park experience. Be careful not to land in the mud or get pulled off the balance beam!

  • Outdoor chapel for quiet reflection

  • Experience nature’s art on our bushwalk through wet sclerophyll forest and discover a great diversity of habitat, including Wet Eucalypt, Open Forest, and Lowland Rainforest, featuring Flooded Gum, Bushbox and Tallowwood, as well as Cabbage and Palm Trees. It supports a diverse range of animals and birds. Black swans, ducks and pelicans enjoy our lake. Venture on thru The Alex Forest Conservation Park walking trail starting beside our main gate, it’s 6 hectares is home to 113 species of fauna!
