Here at Alexandra Park in Alexandra Headland, we offer a secure, large private venue which is close to many of the sports competitions and events hosted on the Sunshine Coast. From comfortable, sports team accommodation through to nutritious meal catering packages, we handle every detail of your stay so your coaches, athletes, and support staff can concentrate entirely on their sporting activities and events.

We have a variety of sports group accommodation to choose from, as well as meeting spaces available for briefing, theory sessions and social activities. Our large grassed playing field is, of course, also available for use.

The oval playing field is in the top right of the map, and we also have several smaller grassed areas for team activities, plus a beach volleyball court, high ropes and rock climbing courses, a 25 metre shaded swimming pool, and a lake for canoeing.

Our close proximity to the vast coastal bikeways and walkways, patrolled beaches, flat waters of the Maroochy River, and the public pool nearby at Cotton Tree, give your group a variety of options for training or recreational activities. Plus, within a short drive you will find many of the Sunshine Coast’s best sporting venues and fields which are also available for use as training and competition venues.

2032 Olympic-Related Practice Events are Proposed to Take Place Nearby

If your sporting group is coming to our region to take part in, or be a spectator of, 2032 Olympic-related practice events, then consider staying with us.

There are numerous Olympic competition events proposed for the Sunshine Coast. These include; marathons, road cycling, mountain biking, basketball, football, race walking and kiteboarding events. Marathon and cycling Paralympic-related practice events are also proposed to take place in the region.

Alexandra Headland itself will hold the road events and kiteboarding competitions, and the proposed venues that are most likely to host the other events are the Sunshine Coast Stadium (a 17 minute drive away), and a new Sunshine Coast Mountain Bike Centre (yet to be built beside the Maroochy River). A new Athletes Village is also set to be built in the new Maroochydore City Centre (a 10 minute drive away).
