It is the home of the Alexandra Headland Surf Life Saving Club (which is directly opposite the Alexandra Park Conference Centre).
The Alex Bluff Foreshore Park (Churinga Park) is a special place, stretching for a kilometre along the headland with multiple picnic shelters and lookouts. It includes the HMAS Brisbane Memorial, the Korean War Memorial and the Australian War Dog Memorial.
For teenagers, the refurbished Alex Skate Park is one of the most popular skate parks in Queensland. The park is used by skaters, BMX riders and bladers of all skill levels.
